Subcommittee of the National Advisory Council on Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Trust Fund Investments and Future Activities
The National Advisory Council鈥檚 (NAC) Subcommittee on Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Trust Fund Investments and Future Activities (the subcommittee) was established to provide input on the strategic framework for AHRQ鈥檚 investment of its share of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Trust Fund (PCORTF) over its current 10-year authorization period.

Overview
The NAC charged the subcommittee with providing input on the 鈥渟trategic planning, management, and evaluation of AHRQ鈥檚 PCORTF investments,鈥 with specific mention of the following as items for discussion:
- AHRQ鈥檚 development of a connected portfolio of projects in strategic national priority areas, including specific objectives, metrics, and strategies to achieve and measure the success of AHRQ鈥檚 PCORTF investments in mandated activities and desired outcomes.
- Innovative approaches and methods that 大象视频can use to increase the success of dissemination and implementation activities.
- Targeted communication, dissemination, and implementation of PCOR evidence and the results of AHRQ鈥檚 PCORTF investments to key stakeholders (providers, health systems, congressional staff, payers, government agencies, and patients) and consideration of potential partnerships to increase the impact of AHRQ鈥檚 PCORTF investments.
- Innovations in training and in how best to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion and the success of the next generation of health services patient-oriented researchers.
The subcommittee met four times in the summer and fall of 2022 to discuss and report back to the Chair of the NAC with recommendations of the subcommittee. The questions posed by the NAC鈥檚 charge to the subcommittee include a number of interconnections. For this reason, many views that were expressed across the four meetings in connection with various elements of the charge are summarized by theme, because this allowed for more cohesion in how the views were grouped and expressed.
