Study data were managed using REDCap electronic data capture tools hosted at Oregon Health & Science University.¹ REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) is a secure, Web-based application designed to support data capture for research studies, providing: 

1. An intuitive interface for validated data entry.
2. Audit trails for tracking data manipulation and export procedures.
3. Automated export procedures for seamless data downloads to common statistical packages.
4. Procedures for importing data from external sources.

´óÏóÊÓƵis the lead Federal agency charged with supporting research designed to improve the quality of health care, reduce health care cost, address patient safety and medical errors, and broaden access to essential services. ´óÏóÊÓƵsponsors and conducts research that provides evidence-based information on health care outcomes; quality; and cost, use and access. The information helps health care decisionmakers—patients and clinicians, health system leaders, and policymakers—make more informed decisions and improve the quality of health care services.
